Interfit Graphic Design BrisbaneWhen Ronin was first engaged to work with Interfit, it was to design a new website. However after our initial discussions, we agreed that they would benefit from a new Marketing Strategy first.

A number of important actions arose out of that strategic planning for the marketing; one being a recommendation that we look at tweaking the logo and branding, which didn’t quite fit the company’s real selling points or intended place in the market.

Coining the phrase “Beyond Shopfitting” as a tagline to differentiate Interfit on the basis of their formidable retail planning skills, Ronin Marketing set out to provide the partners with a number of options of what that may look like.

Settling on a simple isometric device that demonstrates that they “provide the missing piece of the puzzle” or “slot the last piece in”, it can also be read as providing that missing, extra element that makes all the difference in profiting from your fitout.

The stationery continues the clean, bold and fresh look by daring to be simple, and only using colour heavily on the reverse side of collateral.

Earthsmart Branding BrisbaneRonin Marketing developed the “EarthSmart” brand as a way to consolidate 4 business divisions of a company with a presence in the United Kingdom, Australia and the Philippines.

Previously the name of one of the uPVC Windows and Doors subsidiaries, EarthSmart was recommended by Ronin from a number of name options as it allowed us to articulate the brand as being both green and high tech.

With the positioning tagline of “Engineering Solutions for an Evolving Planet”, the Earthsmart brand was rolled out to the 4 divisions of Elevators & Escalators, Doors & Windows, Access & Mobility and Mining & Engineering.

In designing the central logo, we took great care to articulate all of the brand’s qualities; bringing the contrasting elements into balance – the green for the environment, charcoal for technology, and alternating corners sharp vs. rounded. The device represents both an abstract leaf / tree as well as the exponential branches of technological progress.

Lifestyle Grannyflats: Logo Design | Branding

Grannyflats Graphic Design BrisbaneLifestyle Granny Flats is a new division of a larger building company that specialises in large scale extensions. The Granny Flats part of their brand is targeted at the free-standing segment of the home extensions market, and as such is focussed on middle Australia’s home owners.

The logo and branding has been created to appeal to this group as unlike any other granny flats on the market.

Normally a very unfashionable concept, the granny flat was given a graphic overhaul; appearing as styling, trendy and “breezy” – the complete opposite of the established competitors whose brands vibe that they just “build something serviceable under your house”.

Discovery Logo DesignAs a company that provides high-end, customised I.T. data systems to large corporations, Discovery works with their corporate clients to find out what setup will best benefit them and then develops the software to do it.

We asked the Discovery team what their core values were, and distilled them down to a few specific points: They’re committed to their clients, strive for transparency & openness about what they do and the price they charge; have a high level of experience; are young but experienced and professional, stable and authoritative; and importantly, make an expensive, technical process easier for the client.

In developing a new logo, Ronin Marketing Sydney was very mindful to represent all of these values; distilling them into a logo that conveys a feel of both Humans and Technology “meeting” in a very simple, positive way:

 Live Health & Fitness: Name | Logo Design | Graphic Design | Stationery

Live Logo Design BrisbaneLive Health and Fitness is a personal training and sports nutrition / supplements brand.

In discussing the real motivating force behind people taking up a new fitness routine with Live’s owners, it was clear that they do so because they want to feel younger, more energetic, vibrant, and more alive.

From there, we shortlisted a series of possible names and settled on Live Health and Fitness. The graphic design of the logo is an extension of this vibrancy, unashamedly taking its cues from the 1980′s.

This ’80s inspired branding worked out perfectly, as it has great nostalgic value for Live’s older clients (when they were in their prime), and is back in fashion for the younger demographics.

 

My Market: Logo Design | Graphic Design | Branding

My Market Logo BrisbaneA FoodWorks franchisee, My Market is a suburban supermarket brand that’s catering to everyday people who want something convenient and reasonably priced. They want the lifestyle that goes hand in hand with fresh food and modern cuisine.

Ronin Marketing Sydney’s graphic designers approached the design of this logo with the intent that the brand appear fresh, modern, easy, fun, reasonably priced, accessible, and breezy. We were also wanting to be careful that the logo leans toward a corporate look, not that of a corner store.

As the client’s long-term goal is to roll out as a larger chain, the branding needed to look every bit as solid as major competitors like Coles, Woolworths and IGA.The resulting logo very neatly collapses a representation of fresh food / fruit with the brand itself.

It basically says “My Market IS fresh food”.

Interfit Group of Companies: Logo Design | Graphic Design | Brand “Hub” Website Graphic Design

Interfit Group of Companies LogoThe most recent branding project in our ongoing engagement with Interfit has been the establishment of the “Interfit Group of Companies” logo.

This graphic design came about because Interfit is in the process of diversifying into the domestic building industry, and was looking to build a broader, solid base of brand equity by tying their Flexishelf and Maintenance divisions into a “group” approach, as now seen on www.interfit.com.au.

Ronin Marketing Sydney’s graphic designers approached this context by looking to Interfit’s recently-tweaked style and font, and developing a matching style that also contrasts with it.

By adapting the “i” of Interfit, the logo literally represents the 4 arms of the company, arranged in such a way that they can be seen as interlinked people standing together, while echoing as a variation of the style of logo used by the biggest builder / developers.

 

DLPC: Logo Design | Graphic Design | Stationery

DLPC Logo Branding BrisbaneDigital Linear & Passive Components is a buying source for OEM parts suppliers to some of Australia’s (and the world’s) biggest companies.

The logo that Ronin Marketing developed for DLPC draws its inspiration from the iconic pathways of a printed circuit board to help anchor the meaning of the company.

It’s graphic purpose is essentially to represent DLPC as electronics. The logo makes clear that the brand is integral to the manufacturing process, and all electronic (read “supply”) paths go through the company.

Jeffrey Budd & Associates: Logo Design | Branding | Stationery Design

JPB Branding Stationery BrisbaneJeffrey Budd & Associates is a management accounting firm that required a logo that echoes professionalism, authority and solidity.

However, as the firm’s focus is on business development rather than “bean counting”, they were emphatic in wanting a style that was not in the “standard accounting colour” of Navy Blue, or anything that would echo similarly.

As a result, Ronin Marketing drew from a classic, 1960′s style to create an overall design and style that is very minimalist and stylish, yet bold and masculine.

 

CSO Australia: Logo Design | Stationery

CSO Logo Design BrisbaneThe logo produced for CSO Australia was designed with the brief that it was to avoid the normal tropes of the security company. IE lots of logos of shields, badges, and quasi-police insignias and braided gold references.

Additionally, as one of CSO’s key competitive advantages is that they provide a wide variety of services – from executive security to static guards to events security – it was important to convey this in a highly visual way.

Our only concession to the “standard” representation of security was the use of black, blue and gold colours, but again, they were skewed to work in a graphically modern way.
